The feeling of movement, beautiful.sandy
Thank you Sandy...
Came over from Gwen's, gobbling up your images, the jewelry, paintings, everything. I awoke to piano music wafting upstairs growing up: my mom played. What a beautiful painting.
Thank you Ruth. This painting was really fun to do. Of course, Gwen's limber fingers always inspire me...
What a gorgeous painting. I love it. Do you work from photos, memory and/or life? I just wonder how you capture so much spontaneity and movement so loosely, yet right on!
Hi Debbi!I worked from a photo for this one, I don't always. But I often do so I can understand where the light is coming from, and how shadows are created. The brush strokes here are laid down quickly and energetically allowing the paint to break over other colors and therefore, naturally lend themselves to a sense of movement. This was done alla prima.
